Even though no one comes here anymore, I may still be able to reach an old time HW&SW-er

I spent all last night and a couple hours today whipping this together:

Just a homepage prototype as of now (it's also just a working-title, still haven't come up with anything clever)

It's mainly just a portfolio piece, but it's a project I've had in mind for a while. Basically the main purpose is to have one definitive, thorough guide on building a PC from part selection to OS configuration. Also going to have a substantial list of build recommendations available for different budgets & usages. It'd be awesome if anyone would like to contribute content, especially build recs or one-off how-to's, but if you want to get in on the main guide you're doing your community justice.

Also let me know if the page is choppy for you, I may drop the background animation as it's the primary hindrance to performance.

I don't know if it's just my browser but I can't seem to access it? You could always build an improved version of Tom's Hardware in terms of their Ati/Nvidia CPU/GPU Charts...
