I recently bought a high end gaming laptop from metabox, for the P170WM. Has a 17" LCD, core i7 ivy bridge, 16Gb of RAM and a GTX675M (is available with the GTX680).
That's one I would recommend, especially as it was over a grand cheaper than the same thing from alienware.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
