Heyyo,

Yeah world of tanks is pretty damn fun. I play it at random. It sucks playin it though at lower tiers cause the matchmaking does a terrible job of keeping the lower tiers away from higher tiers lol. I might play it again someday though.

Get a better tank you newb xD
Just kidding

Its not always like that. Sometimes if your lower tier it will throw in in a bunch of lower tier tanks as well. If you are lower tier and your up against heavies, Obviously your main objective is to stay alive but scout out some enemy positions

If my laptop wasnt a piece of slow donkey dick I probably be pretty awesome at this game. As it is my laptop bogs down every tree it wants to look through and shoot.

Im thinking about buying a new computer just to run this Game.

Heyyo,

Lol I just realized this is in FPS Stuff instead of General Gaming. :P

So this game had a massive engine overhaul in v8.0. Now the game looks great and has physics which adds to the realism and also ramming fun.

World of Tanks also won MMORPG of the year on Golden Joystick awards beating out League of Legends, World of Warcraft AND Guild Wars 2... that's quite the accomplishment.

Moved topic to general gaming.-ThE_MarD

League of Legends isn't an MMORPG, I wouldn't even really call it an RPG, it's a MOBA. I never really understood how these massive PvP games worked, there's no rounds or anything right, so what is the purpose? Are you trying to capture land or something? I just don't get the appeal - I tried reading on their site but couldn't really get it.

Heyyo,

It's true that it's more of just a normal game but they call it an MMO because the playerbase shares the same server. I think it's more to try and catch the attention of the MMO crowds cause some people are dumb enough to buy into it... just like the crowd who bought WarZ instead of waiting on DayZ... oh snap I went there. :P

So is it like an FPS then? I don't really get it

Heyyo,

Nah it's more of a semi-realistic simulator for WW2 & Cold War tanks. The view modes are either third person for general movement, first person for sniping and overhead view for artillery. It has a lot of actual military-based calculations for armor values, penetration, angle of shell impact and slope of armor to name a few.. They also take into consideration the shell's caliber and penetration values depending on the shell type and if they were designed with normalization on impact... it's pretty snazzy. There's already some pretty massive tournament battles that have happened and it's really picking up in e-sports due to the level of tactics and teamplay that this game requires to do well. You can't really clutch in this game as you can in CS but it is still possible if you're ridiculously good with the tank of your chosing, but even so there's no tank that's perfect as each ones have certain strengths and weaknesses.

If you go on YouTube you can find some really good replays of World of Tanks ClanWars battles.

Ah I get it. Thanks for the explanation. I definitely know some people who would be all over this kind of game (and probably already are).
