So i hit the download button and it opens up utorrent but there is nothing in the list of files to be downloaded. If i click ok and force start no peers no seed and no file size. any ideas?
this needs to be on the forum rules page

I'm not entirely sure how magnet links work, but with p2p torrents you should attempt to give it some time before any kind of connection is established.

iirc they work just like a regular torrent link.. its like a mirror of a torrent. But youre saying otherwise.

Magnets are not the torrent file itself. What it does is goes out and finds the torrent. Pirate bay switched so they wouldn't have to host the torrent files anymore making there server costs cheaper. At least thats my understanding.

More so they don't get in trouble for hosting the torrent file, freeing up some load on the server would be the upshot, but I doubt it has affected hosting bills much. Just server actions.


Check all ports are forwarded correctly, update your torrent program. STOP STEALING LOL

lol thanks nevermore(mom). also I got it working started using frost wire worked like a charm still dont get why utorrent wasnt working but such is life.

ps. really sorry about the incredibad grammar on that last post and this one im a little tired

oh one more thing.
This was a triumph.

uTorrent works, you just have to let it go for a while. After a minute or so it will have the file and download size info and all that other jazz. You must've been downloading a slow torrent or something.
