(Tbh, there's very few games I'd classify as art in anyway so even if you found a way to argue any game as a piece of art I'd probably still ignore it. It's nothing against CoD [for once], I just don't see anything artistic about a form of media that's usually just made to make money unless the creators honestly intend to tell an amazing story / create an amazing picture / show some clear creativity.)

The few games I'd classify even close to art / literature are as followed

You'd probably be able to guess, but just in case- Silent Hill 1-4. There's a ton of symbolism, the story is sophisticated, great characters, creative puzzles + map creation.

The original Deus Ex (possibly Human Revolution) for most of the reasons above and I'd call Human Revolution close to a sophisticated piece of literature just because it asks some pretty heavy questions that games seem to shy away from asking.

Maybe Bioshock.

I dunno, there's a few others but tbh my mind's drawing a blank when I try to remember anything past Silent Hill. Just because Silent Hill's probably the best example of anything close to art in the video game world. Oh, actually Flower. Flower is probably the best example of art in a video game engine. But it takes away from the definition of "game" a bit imo... but w/e.

I rarely get angry. When i do it's typically at myself. I find it hilarious that i got trolled so hard, and i admit...i got trolled hard.
I just feel the need to point out that his argument is retarded, because...well..... apparently i was the first to realize it.

God damn legal bullshit. There used to be a really nice video by extra credits i liked on video games as an art form. But there series just went through some legal bullshit involving how the money was going to be handled so now i can't find it anywhere.

I've actually watched a majority of EC's videos...

They're interesting, but I wouldn't say they're always right. They make arguments using facts (most of the time) but then sometimes they sort of just go with the minority's argument without validating it very much. They sort of just say "Well this would work because it could because we showed you some math... but we have no past examples of this ever working, so let's just assume it would indeed work".

But again, most of the time they are spot on and I do enjoy their videos. Their video on video games as an artform I thought was meh. It was one of those episodes where they barely made any facts and it was mostly opinion... which is fine (because that's what arguments are) but I tend to like my own opinion when it comes to certain matters. VGs as an art form being one (after Ebert brought it up I decided to really take a look at the subject and I just find it so rare to find games that are actually anywhere near worthy of being called art).

I can't tell you how many times, i've played a truly epic game. Then found myself telling a friend about it later and going through a wide range of emotions. From happiness to anger to sadness, and strong emotions, that were probably even more passionate when i was actually going through the process.

Call it what you will, there are like a billion definitions of art. That's what it is to me, and i've never been able to play any video game without feeling something.

MW and MW2 had 2 parts that I'd consider really pushed the art side of video games. The nuke in MW and the airport in MW2 were both fairly emotional. A lot of the rest of the games fell victim to michael bay syndrome, but those 2 parts were pretty extraordinary.
