Idk what they did on Fifa 13, but I worked on Fifa 12 for the wii. Like I've always said, I don't really care who publishes the game. I care about whether or not the game is worth it. If it's not I don't buy it and move on.

But don't you have your own unique idea's? Are you trying to raise enough money to pursue an idea? Or are you more of a every day simple life developer?

edit: I'm not sure why my position is being misconcieved as "EA is great." My position is, and always has been, that they're a publicly traded game publisher/developer.

I don't see why that is so controversial.

Get used to it is all I can say. I worked for TSA remember? Everyone hated us but when you try to bring reason to the table? yeah... I still remember my first enraged passenger. I hadn't even been in training for more than 4 days and she was mad because I was new, but I knew what the fuck I was doing. She didn't know how to pack a bag with bare bones essentials. Just had to bring the gallon sized Vaseline in her fucking bag dude. Everyone will hate you for working under that hat. I just asked if you had any insight on the issue.

Seriously. How the hell do I keep double posting!?

It happens to me as well. But I think it is because on my phone I keep hitting back to go back to my other forum and I forget that I already hit the "post button."

i think gaming has come a long way from what it was.
alot of companies are a little more worried about graphix than the game, but over all
i think gaming right now is at a hell of a badass point.

This reminds me of when I worked at gamestop. There was this dorky little kid with blonde hair whose mother would always just drop him off in the store and leave him there for 2 FUCKING HOURS! All he did was ask us about games on 360... What was his first fucking question? "How good are the graphics?"

Every fucking game he brought to the table was a question about graphics. How detailed were the levels... Why the fuck do they care so much about graphics? Retro City Rampage is fucking awesome! Back in the day I remember when games had ideas. And the stories kept us interested in finishing the damn game. Now its all about graphics... graphics... lense of truth.com graphics. If there is so much as a frame rate drop of .5 frames per second they complain.

That's why games like Heavenly Sword were scorned for having two swords. or Lair getting totally scorned for its control scheme. I found Heavenly Sword to be an awesome game! Lair was easy to control... just hard to figure out what the fuck I was supposed to be killing. I was having too much fun stomping on the armies below!

And for cakecom... Only two triple A games came out? I see 6

That job was more because I needed experience. The work actually wasn't that terrible. The stuff I had a chance to work on was fun to work on and both projects were on existing codebases so there was a ton of stuff to learn. For Fifa I worked on unlocks and stuff related to the fifa city front end, which was pretty cool imo. It's essentially like a living menu that changes as you progress through the game. On Madden I worked a lot on the new career mode, which was technically really interesting.

Don't think just because they aren't games you aren't interested that they aren't interesting to work on. In many ways iterative titles are more challenging than building something new from the ground up.

Well fuck. That video game dude from back then finally gave up... His website for the LLC died.... They had the most misconstrued product put together based on my idea that I never thought I'd see. I was very clear in the pos ms paint drawings I did. Instead they tried to make it a.... Well... A bike racing game where you have a turret mounted on the top and.... They float in air... Like an opposing magnet.... In a 3d based world.... Instead of being simple it was a complicated mess. Ugh.... Oh well. I'll have to re brand my project name to something else.
