As far as I was aware neither of the makers of CS went on to work for Valve... always assumed that's why CSS ended up the way it did.

Ah...

He helped work on L4D2....

Now it makes sense that CSS went the way it did icon_neutral.gif

But in all seriousness, coolbeans. The more you know.

I'll probably play it regardless, if there's money in tournaments and if ESEA integrates well with it. We'll just see if Valve is willing to stand behind it after releasing it - maybe by hosting a million dollar tournament with it as well.

Honestly, Valve seems much more interested in making sure DOTA 2 is their most successful title in the coming years.

It doesn't even really seem like they care much for CS:GO :/.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a much higher prevalence of "family friendly" servers in a game based almost entirely around killing people?

Eight different servers first night I actually bought CS:GO, and every one of them had people get pissy if you said "DAMN IT!". Fry help you if you swear, it's an instant kick.

Either way, it really is pretty much more of the same with some small improvements. I don't care much for the dynamic crosshair they've got going on, though.

Anyways, Been playing it off and on (been distracted with MvM in TF2 and Borderlands2) It's really fun! Their version of gun game is pretty good, but is missing some guns. The game feels so much more natural than CSS imo.

I haven't played much since the beta, do the automatic guns still seem really random (like the recoil makes shooting guns pure luck)?

I'd like to play it more but that annoyed me about the beta.

it felt that way at first, but im getting used to it. i dont think the guns were ever random, its just that the feedback is different. i'm getting really good with the AK now.

I might fit some time in tonight to play it.

I remember ripping people apart with the P90.

SMGs seems like easiest guns to control
UMP is pretty great too

p90 is SO good.

i also really suggest trying the 5-7 and the p255 or whatever are both really good options. im best with a 5-7.

Yeah some pistols are good.

I was thrown off at all the accuracy changes from source but im getting more used to it.

Always loved the sawed off, but I was liking the AUG and Krieg, they seem nice. Also auto sniper spam is pretty deadly.

And the weapon stats on the buy menu seem off, I swear the galil is more accurate than the AK but it says other way round.

i think "accuracy" has less to do with recoil and more to do with raw accuracy. the recoil bounces the gun around, but if you stop and crouch, the first bullet of the AK is more accurate than the first bullet of the Galil. Accuracy differences are small.
