That sucks. They had...like a website and everything. I was completely convinced. Oh well.
I'm doing some digging around and i'm getting mixed reports now....some from fairly well known websites.
Would you mind telling me where this is confirmed as a hoax. My poor old heart isn't ready to give up yet.

The thread is now buried on Reddit somewhere (in r/gaming I think), and I really don't feel like looking for it. LOL

So the leader of the team/company who made it did an interview to show that they actually are for real. I basically can take back the whole "it's a scam" thing now.
(it's 40 minutes long and actually really cool)
The most fascinating part is that it's running on the CPU alone. It doesn't even touch the GPU. This actually looks to be legit.

It's not fake but it's definitely not proven. Notch's reply doesn't really apply as he's talkinga bout voxels, which this doesn't use. It uses point clouds. Voxels imply volume, which I don't think is important to his system. Atomontage is a true voxel engine.
I really wish their artist had a little more fun making some more unique geometry to put a bunch of people's complaints at ease.

Eh, I'm still skeptical. We're still a long way from seeing a finished product from them anyways, which they have mentioned.
