heres what i saw
halo remake is mediocre at best
some gay kinect stuff
gears is lacking depth still
awkward talker guy is still awkward
and halo 4 looks like its fucking the series in the ass faster than expected.

man, i just dont get excited about these events anymore. remember that zelda trailer they showed when they announced the gamecube? even the killzone 2 trailer was pretty sweet like 4 years ago. now its all "apps you dont care about for people who dont exist in your life. thats right people, we sell games to people who don't play games."

Did you watch any of the kinect stuff? It was a lot better than any of the kinect stuff they've come out with thus far.
Gears 3 is looking a lot better than 2 did.
That said I think M$ played it really safe. I'm glad they're showing less shitty kinect stuff, and they showed off a really solid lineup. The ubisoft conference had a lot more interesting stuff though. Very impressed with them so far.

On what are you basing this on? I think it's good that they're re-releasing it. It's horrible playing the original on anything other than an old CRT screen, and an original XBOX.
Original controllers are much more logical to play it with too.

Once more: Why do you say this? I agree Halo-3 was a little, how should I put it, "ghey" (as Jeremy would say) but only because there were parts that didn't make a whole lot of sense, and because the overal 'game' felt very short.
But they more than made up for that with ODST and Reach...
One day, when you're old enough - I'll tell you how I fought in the bit wars...

Sony brought really cool stuff to the table. I'm surprised. Kinda wish they didn't mention the PSN outage to be honest though. I also wish they were more Enthusiastic about their stuff rather than just being drole and telling us about it. C'mon, we're with you for 90 minutes, talk and make yourselves look interesting!!

It's a press event. If they hadn't said anything it would have done a lot more harm than good. It's better to spend 2 minutes apologizing to everybody than to have every major news site posting an article about Sony taking the outage lightly.
edit: my thoughts on sony were kind of mixed. Infamous looked pretty sweet, and the NGP stuff was really good this year, but I wasn't as impressed by uncharted this time around as I was with 2, and I'm not really in the market for a $250 handheld, so probably the best part of their conference has very little bearing on me.
In fact I think the new tomb raider had a more impressive demo than uncharted even though it's multi platform.
AC revelations looks pretty sweet though.
