This is the reason I think people are dumb for assuming that just cause activision is going the monthly fee route, then everyone in the industry may do the same cause they'll just think "wow look at all this money we can make!".
It's called competition, and they'll lose quite a few people to BF3 by doing it. I'm thinking they're already setting themselves up for failure by releasing a new game every year that doesn't seem to be much of an improvement every time, and people are now gonna try BF3 instead this time, a game that looks like it's had much more proper development. And if every developer starts doing it, a lot of people will switch to different games or free to play fps like battlefield heroes, OR one good game developer will decide NOT to do it and everyone will flock to it.
Personally I hope they do this shit cause it'll just bring that many more to BF3, if anything out of spite for the fee. But that's also cause I think BF>CoD and I could care less what happens to CoD.
