I searched and didn't find a thread. If it's there, I apologize.

IGN - Nintendo's Next Gen Console

So... I shat bricks.
But if they do indeed drop the casual gamer target I will also be massive dissapoint... While I do miss some of the uberhardcore games they used to make (...Tetris?...Goldeneye?... No clue when they ever did make hardcore games butk) I appreciate a good casual game once in a while. Wii Tennis anybody?

Anyways, I'll probably update this if I ever get the time. Apparently I am infact late on this news tho.

Vague, but interesting. Will be good to see how it turns out, what the specs are, video demo's, etc. Nintendo seem to be capitalizing on their success with teh wii pretty well

Honestly it'll most likely just be on par with the PS3 and 360 in terms of performance, so it's sad, though hopefully it'll push Sony and MS to work on their next shit.

I dont know man, I think Nintendo might really get some cool shit together. I just pray they dont start off with a Mario game- I'll fucking kill myself 4 reals. I still want to see casual games but they really need to stop pushing that italian plumber down our throats.

i was severely disappointed in the wii (in hindsight). ill wait to see what they have, but ill be stunned if its stronger than a ps3 or xbox 360 with out being too expensive.

I was severely disappointed at the lack of diddy kong racing, which was superior to mariokart in EVERY WAY.

dude, mario kart has been going down hill since the 64 one came out. i dont know the hell they were thinking with the wii MK.

Agreed, after 64 it just became fan service.

Should have stuck with original gameplay + a few extra things. Not every vehicle + addon + map :/

the wii version does suck hard. Between the rubber banding and the fact that you are almost guaranteed to be hit by a powerup causing you to lose if you do well it is not as fun as it used to be.

I still thought diddy kong racing was better from the get go though.

just because it isnt "hardcore" in the genres you care about doesnt meant it cant be "hardcore."

By this definition, like 90% of console games as shitty as they are can be considered hardcore. and I got it from the very super srs. reliable source of Wiki.

Street Fighter 4 = Hardcore
Any form of tetris = Hardcore
Halo 3 (I very much dislike this game so I'm pushing it here) = Semi-Hardcore
Pong = Hardcore
SMB3 = Hardcore
Most Competitive Racing games = Hardcore
Guitar Hero could be seen as Hardcore (again I'm pushing it here)
NHL games = Hardcore (imo anyway)
Wii Balance Board = totally hardcore sexy
