Yeah that's stupid, though I suppose there's no one to blame, that was the only match I wanted to watch =/.

Over hyped? I don't see how, you have some of the best players in the world, playing against each other every week, that's shown on the net at a reasonable hour for NA timezoned people with a prize pool of 100,000 dollars.

It'd be a shitload more exciting if the matches were casted live, a'la MLG, Dreamhack, or other LANs. Replays (or pre-recorded casts like NASL) just feel like watching, well, replays--you can't really get excited about them or emotionally engrossed in them like you can when it's live and you "feel" the players. Imagine if something like pro football were done like that, and people watching on their TVs at home only got to experience pre-recorded games, where the results already happened. Major league sports would not have the large fanbase it currently does if this were the case. This is why I really only watch NASL when there's a REALLY high-profile match (most of which have been cancelled because of FFWs :|).

Well, unfortunately these are round robin matches and will probably last for a good two months. Unless the prize pool had 6 digits behind it or similar funding we can't get live games as that would lag to all fuck. (Hi MLG).
When it comes down to the final ladder you can expect everything to be live and lanned.

The production quality of the NASL is shit though. They're hardly organized, iNcontrol is a decent caster but his co-caster (not sure who he his) sucks pretty bad. The quality is worse than I'd expect even for a free stream, and I've talked to some people who have worked with the guy who runs it, and he sounds like he honestly doesn't give a shit about the project at all. They did not prepare for this tournament well and they need a better backstage cast if they're going to make this work ever. The IGN pro league is going to blow them out of the water and the NASL is going to utterly shit the bed.

Meh, round robin play is boring as fuck to me, since wins and losses pretty much don't mean shit.

Yeah I've not really enjoyed anything from the NASL yet. Also, living in Sydney makes the GSL at most 2 hours off my time during DST and 1 hour off out of DST so I get too see it at regular hours. I'm in the same boat as the Koreans for watching the NASL. I'm not fun to be around when someone f*&ks with my sleep either, so I'm happy to just watch the GSL and maybe catch some VODs of players I want to see in the IGN Pro League.

Intel Core i7 870 | Corsair H50 Watercooler | 16GB G.Skill DDR3 1600MHz
Asus P7P55D-E Pro | Galaxy GTX 460 768MB SLI | OCZ Vertex2 60GB SSD
2x 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD RAID-0 | Corsair HX850W PSU | Samsung Blu-Ray
