Here are links to pics of what my laptop hard drive and what the external hard drive enclosure look like:

Basically the connector for the enclosure isnít the right type for the laptop hard drive, so apparently I got the wrong enclosure. The laptop is from a Dell Latitude D610, so itís a pretty old laptop. Which external hard drive enclosure should I get so I will be able to connect it to my laptop hard drive?

Thanks.

From what I see, it's an IDE connector on both devices, so what exactly doesn't fit? Your pictures are out of focus, try using the macro mode on your camera and zooming in or something.

Also, look up the model/type of the harddrive to see what the exact connector is.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.
