I've recently bought a Hauppauge HD PVR, and ran into some trouble when trying to get the PS2 working. When I use the back components, I get a Black and White recording picture, but the TV is in Color. If I use the front instead, I get a Color recording, but the TV is Black and White.

When I record with the 360, everything works perfectly.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Or am I just stuck playing in Black and White?

Thanks in advance.

Edited first post to properly describe the problem (switched Front and Back). I'm not sure there is a solution however, unless I switch to S-Video.

Why not just play in B&W and record in colour?

The problem here is there's so many factors, it could be the TV model, the hauppage with PS2s, whatever PS2 you're using (Slim or Old model?)

Check other forums, if hauppage has one I'd check there. I personally just use a dazzle, so I can't give much more information than a guess.
