Looks fucking awesome, hopefully kids think it's gimmicky enough to stop playing crap like TF2 and CoD because this game needs ... Nay ... Deserves a big playerbase.

game is out, havent gotten it yet.
Its getting a lot of mediocre reviews but for complaints that I dont really agree with...such as poor ai, and graphics (for 360 version with no mention of pc differences).
They call it repetitive and easy to know where the objectives are on every map.
They complain that the objectives are also always in the same places on the maps.
Last i checked I didnt care that bomb sites A and B on dust2 never changed.
Getting the game tomorrow.

Yea Retrovirus, I haven't played the game yet, but I've watched a few others playing it and I have to say I'm sort of on the same page as you about this.
I reckon it looks pretty good. Nothing completely revolutionary, but just a smooth, solid FPS that combines good aspects from various other games. I'm leaning towards buying it very soon.

Installed the game yesterday. Im really liking it.
the upgrades to the weapons are very minor so I didnt feel bad at all about people being higher level than me or having better weapons.
You have to earn xp to unlock the other body types so I still have no comment on the light body parkour.
The medium body type is already pretty fun.

This game is horrible. Bad AI, really horrible lag, no actual campaign. Brink has nothing going for it and I won't be surprised if the community is gone within 3 months. Also, the "teamwork" in this game is horrible.

i actually like this game. I really dont care for fps campaigns, they always bore me anyway.
The problem i have with the game is that i only enjoy it when i can play it. Which is really not a lot of the time.
It crashes on me a lot.
Like a lot.
They are apparently working on it so i might just start up again once the next patch comes out.
I play on pc, so the problems mentioned by g_pwnage dont really apply to me...like lag..bad teamwork...etc.

Heyyo,
All hype, half the game. It's junk compared to ETQW and RTCWET. Heavy class gets raped cause their guns flop everywhere even when using the mouse to assist aiming and they take maybe 1-3 extra bullets over the medium class so you're better off as medium class with an assault rifle where the bullets are always in the center like the new MOH game is...
Turrets are retarded and useless for the first two levels... ugh.. the "parkour" system they were bragging about is the same one you'd see in COD, what a joke that was as a selling point when there isn't much different. Oh, light class has the wall-jump like you can do in Unreal Tournament games.
The best parts of the game are the graphics, the colorful art style, the look, all fantastic the level designers and model and texture artists did a great job there... just the rest of the game doesn't hold up.
I'm sure the gameplay could be improved with patches, but right now it's disappointing to me. Such a high price for a title without a lot of content either. Battlefield 2 had more maps on release.. Bad Company 2 didn't but PC got those extra maps for free and I love DICE for that.
$60 USD refund if I could but I pre-ordered like a sucker.. at least my refund for Dungeon Siege III should be coming in soon, thank god they had a demo that showed me it sucked, lol. Deus Ex Human Revolution leaked beta I hear is magic just like Deus Ex 1, so that game stays on the pre-ordered list.
Honestly folks, save your money on this game, Natural Selection 2 beta I found more enjoyable than this one.. that and Duke Nukem Forever is 3 days away here in North America and out international right now.. then Battlefield 3's there too in Q4 of 2011 I believe.

Havent played due to technical issues.
I liked the parkour system combined with the sliding and stuff.
I think its better than the cod overbounding but i still think the game is bogged down by technical and design issues.
Id get a refund if i could.
I havent played since the crashing of the game, but apparently there was an update that solved these problems.
Will test the game more and report on the accuracy of this claim.

God fucking dammit, are you kidding me? They said in the patch notes that they fixed the crash due to open gl driver losing connection.
Now it just fucking crashes without the warning and without stating the reason.
Fucking bullshit game.
