Hey did you read the rest of the article and use common sense? They've been heavily hinting at it, and wouldn't be looking to hire a console dev unless they were quite sure they wanted to do it.

I can't get over how funny the "Hey did you" response was.

Anyway, yea I did read the article. I was merely making an attempt at a very gentle and soft trolling.
As retro says, mfw is more like o_O.

I can see it working.. champions of norath works. This should too right? Also, Diablo for PSX worked way back when.

And yeah I don't doubt it'll work, because it's fucking Blizzard and they make things work, but it just kind of feels like a selling out or "betrayal" of sorts.

If they don't sacrifice the PC versions of diablo I don't see why it's bad. Having something in the Diablo series on consoles could be really successful. There's a huge gap as far as solid hack n slash/dungeon crawling RPGs go for consoles.

We have seen games suffer because they were designed with consoles in mind.
So I am not bothered by this at all just rather surprised.
Blizzard undoubtedly designed the game from the ground up for the pc, hence seeking another person to help with the console side of things instead of getting someone already on the team to do so.
This is the reason I am not worried.

Its more difficult to patch up the game on consoles than it is for pc. Starcraft 2 has had several several minor patches in addition to the major ones. These things range from the tiniest of bugs to the implementation of new features (chat channels).

So if there is a console version released, I can see the game coming out for pc first.

Control-wise I dont see a reason why the game couldnt work on consoles. The D-pad could easily substitute numbers 1-8 for skills.

Mind you i said console ports (or is it pc port?)
(when a pc game is ported to console)

If someone wants to play on pc but cant, so plays on his ps3...
theres no reason for any rational person to be upset by this.

But when the developer changes the game itself in design to treat pc, 360, ps3 release products as the same...thats when we get consolized games that make me a sad panda.

yea id rather have an amazing diablo 3 on my bad computer than a shitty diablo 3 on my ps3

Someone mentioned this already but Diablo was on the PS1 and I doubt that D3 will be "consolized".

Now Skyrim on the other hand...
