So basically, battlefield 3 has been announced. The trailer is a bit dull, but the news is great - sp/co-op campaign, jets, PRONE, and 64 players online on pc. I'll probably get this on pc and maybe on PS3 if the co-op is local. Just hoping theres mod support.

Small scale? Heavy Metal and Harvest Day are pretty huge [for bc2].
But yea, doesn't match any BF2 maps in openness.

What's the deal with leaning? I'm the only person I know who does it, and that's only because I'd been playing FPS for so long that I tried it and found a distinct strategic advantage to it. No n00bs would know how to lean, let alone use it regularly, so what's the problem?

Prone never bothered me in BF2. I only used it as sniper.
It WAS in BC2 [alpha] at one point but they removed it to avoid it being a camping game and having more "action".

Talking more about actually thinking of doing it. Especially since lean is really a PC-only feature in most cases, most people would not even think to use it.

Fuck yes this is good news. Good to hear prone is back, kinda got sick of having no cover in BC2 purely because you can't crouch low enough behind a rock or some bollocks like that.

Hope it lives up to expectations or whatever (seeing as BF2 was fucking awesome) even though it probably won't... will still buy and enjoy thoroughly with some old buds

I use it in games that have it.


Also BF3...will probs get, I played BC2 in beta and from release day for a good few months so I hope BF3 will keep me interested for longer, sounds like it will be better.

Wow. Looks pretty legit. If it has a good amount huge open maps, has commanders again, has a decent netcode this time around, and the ability to actually see your health bar (fuck you BC2), this game will be perfect.

I saw the gameplay trailer but the ''gameplay'' look more like cutscenes to me.. If it is actual gameplay then my pc won't be able to run it anyway, maybe on medium-low.

The graphics are cool but i liked bc2's graphics on medium good enough, Just kinda annoying that they keep improving the graphics which means u have to upgrade ur pc again if you want it to run smooth.

Will buy for me after i've seen the beta

Also, i read somewhere in an interview that the PC version will be given extra care so it wouldn't have a ''consolised'' feel to it
