PlayStation Vita Contest:

Going to be in Denver Colorado all done by ME. 5 PlayStation Vita 3G's up for grabs. 1 of those five will be in a disclosed location and will be first come first grab.

Rules will be simple. I will be covering the entire area of Denver as far as Castle Rock/Franktown to Brighton/Commerce City, and from Bennet/Aurora to Golden/Red Rocks.
I will either be showing a picture or describing something you will need to take a picture of yourself, with you in the picture holding up a sign with your youtube, or PSN ID.

Videos are a plus. Photo-shopping is an automatic disqualification. I will be checking the photos.

It will be done sometime in November so make sure to wear a jacket.

Specs:

-- 5 inch, 960×544 OLED resolution screen.
(Automatically I am thinking this is going to be a $400 portable device...)

-- WiFi.
(Ok... we finally going to move up to 802.11 G or are we going to stick with B? Or possibly skip an upgrade and go to 802.11 N?)

-- 3G + LiveArea
(EvDO if you don't know what that means. Basically an unstable wireless 56K internet... Yeah you may get 1GB/s at times but it only lasts 30 minutes at that rate. And this new LiveArea thing is probably going to SUCK!)

-- Bluetooth® 2.1+EDR （A2DP/AVRCP/HSP)
(Expected seeing how the PSP Go has this.)

-- GPS
(I remember this being slated for the first PSP. I doubt this one. Hopefully this time it will actually be in the damn unit!)

-- Touch pads on front and rear of the unit.
(WHY!? My god we are so Clichéd that they think we like fondling our PSPs...)

-- Electronic compass on three axis? Oh come on its a sixaxis chip not three axis.
(Some of these sources are retarded.)

-- Front and rear cameras.
(That is ok I guess. Why two? Why not make it a flippable single camera?)

-- Microphone.
(I guess this is to be expected from every new portable gaming device... Why not have a rear microphone as well? )

-- Cartridges!!!!!
(YES! FINALLY! YOU FINALLY WANT TO USE CARTRIDGES! Too bad DD is becoming too popular now...)

-- CPU: ARM® Cortex™-A9 core (4 core)

So far the games I want already for this unit is Uncharted.

The analogue nubs being extruded from the unit is going to be very bothersome for me.

I don't know what to think of this new back panel touch pad stuff. If you stroke it too much will it tell you to stop it? With a cute Asian girls voice?

Gravity Rush. I am not sure what to make of this game... Is it an RPG? Puzzler? Combat? I don't know...



Little Big Planet. I think this may be the best version of LBP so far....



Wipeout 2048. I am definitely going to buy this one.



Modnation racers.... Hopefully this version won't be plagued with the massive amount of data transfer required to generate a single racing room....



Little Deviants. For some reason these little guys remind me of the old collector's game of Crazy Bones. Remember those? Well I do. That and pogs...



Super Stardust DELTA! 5/5starsalreadyftw!



virtua tennis.... yeah I don't really play sports games. But it does seem to be touch controlled....




Of course there are other games with videos but I don't want to put up too many....

Augmented reality.... New sub topic for this...

Here are a few games and misc apps for the PS vita...

First up Reality Fighters....



Seems like a nice little idea. I just wish that a car could knock the players out or cause damage... I can see this one becoming a problem at school... Nonetheless I don't see myself finding random people to fight... This might be more of a social game than anything.

Second up is this little app that I think... well it could become viral... but I see people becoming rather vile with it very fast... It is TAG



I only see this as a means to remember places. I can just imagine people luring others to bad places... "FREE CANDY ->" pointing at a trash bin.....

Here is one that I like. Only because I am into creating music. But I don't think I like the current mode of editing.

they put in a lot of stuff nobody will care about.

Really all they had to do was make a powerful system with dual analogue and wifi. All the extra stuff is just going to make it expensive so it will again get owned by nintendo's handheld.

I will say that I am at least watching it. The rear touch pad is retarded, and they pretty much just chucked in all sorts of stuff that are standard in current cell phones. The processor and dual analogue are pretty sweet though.

Hmm. I might pick one up to replace my phone/ipod. Dual analogue means I can finally play my PSX games properly on the PSP. If it is like it claims and has the power of the PS3, then Ill put all my PS2 games on it as well.

No release day for me, not until CFW is out.

Yes it will have launch games. A lot of big namers too. Uncharted and KillZone are the ones I am going to buy.

82 third-party developers have already signed up to work on the NGP.

Where is Xayun for this one because Sony made a dual shock some years after the PS came out with dual analogues. It is like saying Ice cream didn't have chocolate in its category to choose from.

On another note: Since Sony is going with a more modern chip that isn't in house made the amount of games that are going to be developed for it will be MASSIVE. Seeing how it is going to support OpenGL alone will make it much easier to develop for.

*Unrelated - Side note: You know what I find funny? In sceablog's youtube channel.. and in the PS Meetings; the English dubber. I know who the three people are who were sent out to this event and translating for the meeting.

I had met them just 7 days ago while I was at work on Saturday. Her voice truly does stand out and I can recognize it, but I am surprised that the dude isn't talking either. The other one was another dude but he was just tagging along I guess. Odd..

Nothing too big but now it clicked in my head as to why he was going to NIA.

So I think I am going to be able to hold a small ps vita contest. I just need 1,600 to do it. But only for people in Colorado. I will be doing this on YouTube. Hopefully it will be awesome.
