The Darkening Deeps are usually the second dungeon you will visit playing as a guardian. They're located in the northern part of Gloamwood, which is west of the Guadian starting area of Silverwood. This is dungeon is for players of level 24 or greater and features four bosses with the third one (Tegenar Deepfang) being by far the hardest one.

The Whitefall Steppes are the third battleground available during beta. It's a capture the flag type warfront where you have to capture the enemies flag (Sourcestone) and bring it to your teams flag (Sourcestone). Pretty easy to understand but the difficutly is that this warfront is huge and you have to walk all the way from the enemies base to your base - and you cannot mount on your horse or whatever mount you have. So the risk of being killed on the way is very high. It happeneded to me almost in front of our base as you can see in the video.

CTF is similar, and they call them battlegrounds...
Still going to give it a shot though.

Why is this game almost identical in interface to wow?
It's identical in every single aspect. It is literally a WoW clone.

The open beta is over and I have another video ready. This time it shows the dungeon "Foul Cascade". It is located in the northern parts of the Scarlet Gorge and designed for players between Level 30 and Level 35.

Wow. I find it very surprising that a game company would copy WoW that much and still have the balls to name it a different game.
I think the designers didn't realize how similar this game is to WoW and are just stupid.

More similar to Warhammer...or even Age of Conan since there is no RvR.

I found putting the "We're not in Azeroth anymore" on their commercials and advertisements everywhere even more ballsy.

Almost every company making an MMO is copying WoW in some way, and a lot of them are copying it almost exactly.

Never in my life have I seen or heard of a legitimate MMO copying WoW as much as Rift. It's down to a tee.

I'm curious in how the game actually turned out. I gave up on the beta because it really WAS a WoW clone.
Is the grind fun at all, or just tedious?
Is end-game content plentiful and actually rewarding?
PvP scene?
Population/community?

It's pretty fun, there's no rush to hit level 50 (the cap). Rifts and world events constantly happening in your zone make it feel like your low-level efforts actually mean something, and provide something else to do besides questing. I assume this is what vanilla WoW would have felt like. Exploring is fun because the game has pretty good visuals. Some of the zones are obvious copies of WoW, though, like the second (well, third if you count the starting area) Guardian zone called "Gloamwood". It's Duskwood down to a tee.
I haven't done any myself since I'm only level 29, but from videos I've seen, end-game PvE looks pretty fun. There's a 20 minute fight apparently.
No idea about the PvP scene tbh.
The population is obviously not near as large as WoW, but there are more than enough people for the game world to feel lively.

Here are three new videos for Rift. All of them show footage from the Alpha Test which took place a while before the release. I now got the permission to finally post these videos.
The first one is called "Rift - Sanctum Rift Raid".
There was a huge event in Sanctum where lots of Rifts appeared in the middle of the city and tried to take over the whole city. We, as the players, had to fight together and prevent this from happening.
Watch it here: http://www.digioso.o...nctum Rift Raid
The second one is called "Rift - Named Solo Mobs."
This video shows some of the named mobs you can find all other Telara and which are designed to be beatable by a single player.
Watch it here: http://www.digioso.o...Named Solo Mobs
And the third one is called "Rift Endbosses".
This video shows some of the endbosses you'll encounter as a Guardian in Rift - Planes of Telara.
