Hey guys! I was looking at the forum statistics. It says there was 187 guests and 27 users active in the last 60 min. What can we do to get some of those guests to sign up?

Should we create a game or something? Maybe make something appealing for them to join.

Anyway, thought we could use a few more of us around here.

Post your suggestions below.

I don't see this site ever getting the same traffic it used to. They're moving on to other things.

Would need to change the theme of this board from PP to a more general forum for projects.

that's kind of what I was saying. Either make the purepwnage name a cover all brand or like you say. Otherwise nothing will change until new episodes are released.

Good examples of this being successful would be roosterteeth. It used to be all redvsblue then as they branched out they expanded the brand.

Nothing, really.

Seriously, if I wasn't already signed up in here, I wouldn't sign up now.

The forums are boring.
Moreover, the forums are mind-numbing.

Tbh, I don't blame them for not registering.

This. 99% of the conversations for the Internet series are encompassing Ep 19, and it's literally the same shit that has been posting "where is the new ep?" since the dawn of time. In fact, there probably has been someone sharing this exact same viewpoint, only at an earlier date, asking this same question, in another never-ending list of threads.

Anyone who had watched the TV series would have joined and shared their opinions about the show and been active months ago. Some people joined. Not many, but some did to show their appreciation of the show and how they'd been going back over the older episodes and such.

If there is no new content, there is nothing we can do as a community. If there's nothing new to talk about for the show or visible content, why would a new person be drawn into that? Even so, what incentives are there that still exist? You can't rally people to watch a show that's been out since 2004. Other than to get the girl who played Kris to dance around in a bikini and wear a Halo helmet, I'm fresh out of ideas. icon_razz.gif

What about the PPGA ... it kind of annoys me that the PPGA is stale right now, I was trying to get a .au FPS server going so we had somewhere to re-group and pwn mates with but nobody has taken an interest

The PPGA is where it's at.

Go to GamerArmy.com, log in and click Forums, where does it take you?

E: We are supposed to be too busy gaming to care about the time frame in which episode 19 will be released, oh shit its Christmas already? Oh well better get back to my games!

We could make Jarett move back to Canada.

It's so boring in the winter up here, he'd have to finish ep.19 to stop himself from going crazy. New episode, new members.

Of course EP 19 would help for a little bit. But they'd all leave again after a month or two of silence.

If you want people to start signing up you gotta have an incentive for them to sign up.
We can't really get people to sign up through intelligible conversation atm, we can't do it via PP... Could do events/prizes. But that takes effort/money.

ATM we are kinda handicapped. The forums are under the name of Pure Pwnage, so we can't start anything new like our own show/game site. And alot of people view the forum as "dead" where even the cast is no longer alive.

IMO what we need to do is
1. Make a list things that need to change, and then change them. (Merge forum sections/delete old stuff, ect)
2. Add an incentive for people to join. (ATM, what incentive is there? Really nothing. This is our biggest problem imo)
3. Add a new coat of paint. When everything else is done, reskin the forum. (what happened to that skin that was being made?)

Things don't just magically happen, sometimes someone has to lay down some dosh and put the effort in to make it happen.

1. Your list is about a list
2. The brotherhood of gaming, PPGA
3. There is nothing wrong with the forum skin

I for one would like a direct line to the Pp crew, i've tried emailing the noobstore and got 'lolz' in reply, sent of a big faggoty fan email full of what I think about where things are going and as far as I know it went nowhere

Apart from twitter, how can we contact Geoff and Jarett?

Brotherhood is dead. The people who put out missions and ect are gone, you have to pay to get into the GA, which no one would do. They're not an incentive they're another relic of the past.
And If you're trying to breath new life into something cosmetic effects go a long way.

I'm not talking about missions or anything, I just mean Pp members as a group rocking pub servers or competing in league matches together

It's only dead because people don't have the effort to bother having fun with it anymore

All this forum is about now is bitch bitch this isn't like it used to be omg it used to be great omg when are they gonna hurry up with this old shit but omg i hated the new shit anyway so its gonna suck but omg just bring it out omg omg omg

What happened to good old pwning n00bs? Isn't the whole premise of this series/forum to play games and pwn at them all?

As far as pruning and re organizing the forum goes, it will take mods that actually give a shit. Right now it's mostly regular member's that give a shit.[it seems, at least.]

It would help existing members from leaving, not so much bring in new crowds. I sometimes check last seen dates of relatively new people.. and they drop out after a week or 2 of posting. Probably way too many places to post anything in.

edit: We can also send a mass email to all members after the reorganization welcoming them back. Kind of like some MMO's do when they notice you have quit for a few months <.<. And I dunno.. returning members get a free rofl rupee? I don't even know what the hell those things are for.
kinda off topic:
How I found out about PP and it's forums was actually in another forum for a korean MMO.. That game and forum are dead now.. But some 10~ people post a thread every few months just to say "hay guys remember the good ol days 7 years ago?" etc.

You seem like a smart guy. I think you should PM Myren and see if you can get stripes, if you think no other mods will actually fix here.

If you get 7 rofl rupees, you can claim an item from the n00bstore. And thats a good idea about the emails, just maybe not the rupees, otherwise people will abuse the fuck out of it.

Do you really consider that the forum activity of one member is worth the money/effort that is involved with giving away a t-shirt or whatever it is that they sell. The crew will not benefit from it.
