Time Flies When You're Having Fun

I still remember the time I came home from a camping trip to see the newest episode and it wasn't up yet. Next day, still wasn't up. I waited months for news on the episode, and my love for the show was being pushed the back of my mind as I focused on school and not on video games. Then came the horrible news of Troys passing. I don't know why, but I knew it would be different. Not just because T-Bag wouldn't be in it anymore, but everything in general would change.
The announcement for the TV show was pretty surprising, even if everyone was bugging them for one. I couldn't watch it though, being Australian and all. When I finally watched the first episode on YouTube, there was nothing. All that love, excitement and just general awe had just disappeared. Jeremy had a different room, he didn't live in that little white apartment. Tagi was gone, along with Dave and T-Bag (I know, would've not been there anyway but still.). Jeremy and Doug were just.. I dunno, alien to me I suppose. My absolute love for Pure Pwnage was gone. Not completely though. I still look back at those days and feel saddened on how it will never be the same again.
And for that, I thank you. All of you, even you forum members. I still love you guys. This show was basically the spawn of a never ending video game love and that will never, ever change.

I totally know what you mean. They're not the same anymore, but I still like them for what they were, for the early episodes and for showing me games from a different point of view.

What I'd like to to add is the following: People change and time changes - that is ok. I can absolutely understand that the crew doesn#t want to make PP anymore and that they have lost interest in it. We can not blame them for that.
But I think that with having such a big community, there goes some responsability along with.
As pathethic as this may sound, ot only means that the crew could at least POST SOME NEWS ON THE MAIN PAGE FROM TIME TO TIME. Just like "Hi guys, here is Jarett again. ATM Geoff and me are doing this and that, we are all right and still alive, have a nice day." Or whatever. Or some news.
At the moment, the PP main site just smells dead and this is just very sad.

I loved the TV series, even if they didn't have the same feeling as the webisodes, and thus I would love to see a season two. I heard Jarett say in an interview back in September, that they were almost finished writing the script for the new TV episodes, what is the status on season two? Nothing confirmed? Also, in the same interview he said that he would be shocked if webisode 20 wouldn't come out before Christmas this year... Guess that's not gonna happen
A little piece of news once in a while would be really pwnage. The mailbag did that job quite well actually, but there's not been any for quite a while.
It's getting late here in Denmark, but I think I will watch some old school Pure Pwnage tomorrow. Miss the old days, but I'm being positive, and I hope that soon we will hear something about what the state is and stuff like that.
Keep on pwning!

Love how the resident tough guy is happy to talk trash on an internet forum but back pedals as soon as he is called out. Typical coward. No doubt he'll respond to this with excessive bravado in order to restore his rightful place as a fully fledged internet badass.

My only gripes with the TV show format was how rushed everything seemed and how Jeremy didn't seem as cool as b4. I can see why they made Jeremy seem so awkward b/c it was funny and that most ppl watching TV won't get the types of references he makes in the web-series, but I liked the original character better.
A couple weeks ago I had a pp marathon and watched the whole webseries non-stop. I realized that even if they don't finish the last episode and they move on to other things I'll still love the show and give it my support. Although if they make Season 2 of the TV show then that would be super awesome! It would be even more awesome if they could go beyond the border and broaden the audience.

Then I saw my -i pwn noobs- hoodie hanging in my cupboard.
I understand how you feel, dude. The internet used to be exciting with the waiting for the next PP episode. Seriously, I'd watch every Youtube video, play every Flash game and whatever else you do to distract yourself before the release. Alas, fate had to be a bitch and took the life of a man who was becoming ever more popular for his character. The announcement of the TV show and the inevitable release (*cough*) on Youtube and whatnot really got me back into it, it really did... but there was that flavor missing, the feeling that you would get while watching the web series.
*sigh*

The internet series had many excellent components and I do love it, but I always felt like each episode was missing something.
I mean, yeah, of course the two series are different because one is high budget and one is low budget, but remember, Jarrett, Geoff, and Joel all need $$. If I remember accurately, both Jarrett and Geoff dropped out of school to work on PP fulltime. PP obviously isn't bringing them much money now so I bet they have moved on.

They were, as quoted by them, making a full time living off the web series and noob store.
Personally, each episode of the webseries left me feeling satisfied, where as the TV show felt like it was missing components. I think the web series was well written as a mockumentry, and the TV show tried too hard to combine traditional television comedy while still retaining that element.

Basically, Jarrett and Geoff wanted to appeal to everyone, not just gamers but I, personally, don't think they pulled it off. As much as I think getting the money is good, staying true to what you love is just as important, if not more important.

Exactly. That's part of the problem with TV, and it's one of the really wonderful advantages that web-entertainment has. Niche programming. On TV it doesn't really work, but on the Internet you can find an audience for almost anything. Taking a gaming show for gamers and watering it down was in part one of the reasons why the TV show just wasn't anywhere near as good as the web show.

I felt it was super compressed webisodes.
Though I do remember some text popping up telling me what FPS or something means..
