Virus Problem Need Help Asap.

I have a virus that's not showing on any anti-virus programs.It changes my windows aero theme to basic randomly shuts off my evga precision and when im browsing the internet and i search something on google it redirects me to unwanted sites.

I have Avg Pro 2011 Microsoft Security Essentails Spyware Doctor Pro and I'm about to install Avast Pro but I'm guessing its not going to do anything like the other programs.

Try http://www.malwarebytes.org/ if you can get it installed then it's a great anti-malware tool.

Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes are not live scanners that need to be running at all times to do their job. Just regular scans along with an extra one whenever you feel you have a virus will sort the problems out. Relying on simply one tool for anti-virus protection is a bad idea because any issues with that single piece of software can render it useless. Also, when I can 3 virtual machines simultaneously and still not be maxing out my CPU or RAM, I think I'm in good enough shape to have more than one antivirus running if I wanted to.

Paying money for a program to be running at all times "protecting" your computer is one of the dumbest things you can do. I guess it gives people who just use their computer for email and shit (n00bz!) a sense of security..

Haha yeah, I know what you mean man. I never really recommend anyone else goes completely without some form of AV, but I personally don't run any. I just have Spybot SnD, and Malwareabytes for double checking my personal findings when I suspect I have something. I usually find it myself before the scan finishes though and the scan just confirms the location for me.
