General discussion is dead so I decided to liven things up. You can thank me later.

Here is one of the best beers I have ever had: Founders Breakfast stout

You should really try some. Tastes like dark chocolate and some kind of "spicy" coffee.

Love how the resident tough guy is happy to talk trash on an internet forum but back pedals as soon as he is called out. Typical coward. No doubt he'll respond to this with excessive bravado in order to restore his rightful place as a fully fledged internet badass.

seems pretty awkward to drink a beer with a baby on the bottle...

I dont usually drink beer, but when I do, it's Unibroue, Sapporo, Sam Adams, or Guinness.

Ain't nobody posts on that thread since it's in the ice cream shack. And so what if I posted the same beer? It's the best beer I've had so far. But maybe the La Fin Du Monde in my fridge will prove me wrong.

Home made mead sounds awesome. You have any pics?

No, I didn't make it, a friend of mine did. It was so fucking good. 16% abv, each bottle was about 3 drinks or so. His recipe involved 12 pounds of honey, that was enough to sell me.

Dammit man that sounds good! I need to get my hands on something like that.

I've only been really drinking cognac/brandy recently and I'm in the mood for some beer/ale/honey-filled homemade mead.

Doom Bar

There are also some other good cornish beers.

For some more local beers to my current location.

This is pretty decent and sold in a lot of places.

This also.

And a taste of home.

Whetherspoons has a real ale festival on atm (good for real ales anyway) for 1.85 a pint. Get on it.

They used to mean the same thing like a 100 years ago.

This is from wikipedia:

The term pale ale is used in Scotland though ESB (for "Extra Special Bitter") is more commonly used in the United States. Where bitter is used it indicates a pale ale of lower alcohol content brewed in a less hop-focused style than typical American pale ales. American bitters often use English varieties of hops.

Bitter is less hoppy? Whatever. I live in the U.S. and I have never heard of an Extra Special Bitter before.

What was so bad about it? Was it too bitter? It is a robust beer and I can see why some people wouldn't like it. But god awful? Well... That's a dayum shame.

By the way, if you like Left Hand Milk Stout, you'll probably like Young's Double Chocolate Stout as well.
