edit: I just watched the top gear USA season over the past few weeks, and god it just does not match up. I am 30 seconds into the show and it's already better.
"Tonight, a sausage gets burnt. A sheep falls over. And our track is all wet." That one line is better than the entire series of top gear USA.

I'd actually be interested to see Top Gear USA vs Top Gear because the USA hosts are probably better all around drivers despite them being much much worse at being entertaining.

I haven't seen Top Gear USA but from my experiences with americans I don't think they would put up with the sheer amount of taking the piss out of how "fat and stupid they are"
